(1935 - 2014) Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Friday, November 14, 2014 after a long battle with cancer and kidney disease. She is predeceased by her parents Jack and Bertha Skeffington, brother Wallace, uncle George Skeffington, brother-in-law Harold Stickley, niece Carol Ann Stickley and nephew Cpl. Jamie Murphy. She leaves to mourn husband Bill; son Derek (Lois) of Fort McMurray and Dean (Gail) of Clarenville; grandsons Mitchell and Brent Carter of Fort McMurray, AB and Spencer Carter of Clarenville; sisters Alice Murphy (Norman) of Conception Harbour; Eileen Stickley (John White) of Catalina, Eva Skeffington of Clarenville and Sandra Whiffen (Fred) of Bonavista; brother Eugene (Doris) of Upper Amherst Cove; sisters-in-law Audrey Dawe (John) of Riverview, NB, Louise Strals (Peter) of Evans, Georgia; brother-in-law Frank Carter (Cynthia) of Paradise; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville Saturday and Sunday 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Monday, November 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Clarenville with cremation to follow. Interment will take place at a later date at Clarenville Interdenominational Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
