WARD, GENE A. - Gene A.Ward, 76, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, November 17, 2014. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Cora Ward. Gene was a self-employed Transport Driver, worked with Armour Transport and most recently, was a School Crossing Guard. He was a former member of Wesley Memorial United Church and enjoyed spending time with his family. Gene will be sadly missed by his children, Debbie Ward (Mike Bastarache) of Moncton, Pam Ward (Roger) of Fort Nelson, BC, Brian Ward of Moncton and Todd Ward of Riverview; grandchildren, Ashley, Brandon and Tara and great grandson, Kayden; several nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Buster. Gene was the last surviving member of his immediate family. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his wife, Joan M. Ward (June 2004); four brothers and one sister.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Thursday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Funeral Service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 10:30 am, with Rev. Lloyd Bruce officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
