Nancy Lordon
LORDON, NANCY A. (QUANN) - 1959 – 2014 - Nancy Anne (Quann) Lordon of Gordon Rd., Miramichi passed away at her residence with her family by her side on Thursday evening of November 20, 2014 at the age of 55. Born in Chatham, N.B. on August 10, 1959, she was the daughter of the late William (Billy) and Ellen (Walsh) Quann. She was an Executive Assistant in the Administration Department at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, a Miramichi City Councilor and was previously the first female Deputy Mayor of the City. She was involved with the Miramichi Airport Commission and the Northumberland Solid Waste Commission and an active community volunteer with numerous organizations. She attended St. Michael’s Basilica and was very active in her faith community. Nancy is survived by her daughter Emily Lordon (Michael St. Coeur) of Calgary; two sons Adam Lordon (Evan Hudson) of Miramichi and Andrew Lordon (Katherine Swiderski) of Calgary; special grandson Noah Lordon; four sisters Doris Wyld, Debbie Connell, Shelley Bourque (Terry) and Karen Legresley (David) all of Miramichi; one brother Eddie Quann (Gina) of Miramichi; several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her parents and brother Wayne Quann.
Visitation will be held from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St. with visiting hours on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Vigil prayers will be held on Sunday at 2:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 2 pm from St. Michael’s Basilica conducted by Father John Fraser. Interment in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Nancy Lordon Scholarship Fund or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
