Peacefully, at the Prince Edward Home, surrounded by loving family members and caring staff on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, the passing of Bertha (Bert) Charbonneau (nee Dwan), Charlottetown and formerly Montreal and St. Peter's Bay, age 82 years.
Wife of 58 years to the late Robert (Bob) Charbonneau, and loving mother to Brenda (Cal) Beamish, Paul (Donna), Mark (Renee) and Nancy Ford. Beloved Grandma and Nana to Melanie, Kelli and Casey and Great-Grandma to Sarah, Harrison, Jacob, Ben and Shelbie. Bert will be sadly missed by brother, Earl (Aileen) Dwan of St. Peter's Bay; brothers-in-law, Vic (Marleen) Charbonneau, Ray (Nan) Charbonneau; sister-in-law, Liz Sison; and her many nieces, nephews, relatives and all the great friends she so cherished.
Predeceased by her infant daughter Linda; parents John Joseph and Clara Dwan (nee Ryan); brother, Owen (Joyce) Dwan; sisters, Mildred (Tom) Tracy and Clothilda (Charlie) St. Croix; sister-in-law, Claudette Nicholson; and brother-in-law, Jim Charbonneau.
Special thanks to the staff of the PE Home (2 East & Blue Heron) who lovingly cared for Bertha over the past 1½ years, as well as enjoyed and appreciated her easy manner, love of music and great sense of humor.
Mass of Remembrance at St. Pius X on Friday, November 28, at 1 p.m. Private family burial to take place in Montreal.
