Louis John Matthews, 63 of Grand Anse suddenly passed away on Nov. 25, 2014.
Born in Arichat, he was the son of the late Wallace and Cassie (Smith) Matthews.
Louis will be missed by his life long partner, Margaret MacIsaac; stepdaughter, Amber; sisters, Linda (Kenny) Johnston, Rocky Bay, Karen (Kenneth) Slaunwhite, Dartmouth, Ruth Matthews, Grand Anse and his four nieces and one nephew.
He was predeceased by a brother, George
Resting in the River Bourgeois Funeral Parlor Sunday from 2-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Black River United Church with Nan Corrigan DL presiding, burial to follow in the Black River Cemetery.
Memorial Donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Strait Richmond Palliative Care Society.
