Passed peacefully away on Friday, November 28, 2014 at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital Charlie M. Benson age 83 years. Predeceased by Mabel Barron; his first wife Jean (nee Efford) Benson; father and mother: Linsey (Mon) and Lily Benson. Leaving to mourn Wayne Barron (Carole), George Barron - deceased (Jeannie), Bill Barron (Connie), Jack Ford, Mike Barron (Sharon), Gary Barron, Lennie Barron (Anita - deceased) and Keith Barron; brothers: Lin Benson, Edgar Benson and Bert Benson; sisters: Peggy Baker, Marie Walsh (Jim) and Jean Hurley (Gordon); special friends Ron and Velma Dawe, Gerry and Eliza French; also many other family and friends. Visitation to be held from Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday from 12noon - 2pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett's Chapel on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Charlie Benson Memorial Fund.
