Pauline M. Allen, 79 of Westphal, passed away surrounded by family, on Dec. 1, 2014 in the Dartmouth General Hospital, after a brief illness.
Born in Sydney Mines, she was a daughter of the late Annie and Bradford Vickers.
Pauline was a faithful member of St. John’s Anglican Church and a long-time member of Footprints. She enjoyed gardening, crafts and Bingo. She loved to go blueberry picking in Cape Breton. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Pauline is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gordon; daughters, Valerie (Josh), Paula (Brian); sons, David (Jeanie) and James (Chrystal); sisters, Joyce, Esther, Hilda (Rhinehart), Marilyn (Nelson), Florence (Ed), Valerie (Bob); brothers, Ernest (Barb), Lloyd (Mia), and Eldon (Trudy); eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Louise; brothers, Brad 'Sonny' and Lorne.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 4th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main St., Dartmouth. The funeral service will take place on Friday, Dec. 5th at 11 a.m. in St. John’s Anglican Church, 1231 Main St., Westphal, Reverend David Pugsley officiating. Reception to follow in the church hall. Burial in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John’s Anglican Church.
