Passed peacefully away at Health Science Complex, St. John's on December 1, 2014, Thomas Dalton of North Harbour, St. Mary's Bay, in his 98th year. Predeceased by his wife Catherine (nee Whelan), daughter Jacqueline, son-in-law, Douglas Roil, sisters Theresa, Ida, and Nellie, and brother Cecil. Left with fond memories are his daughters, Anne Marie Dalton (Paul Bowlby), Carol Roil, Geraldine Young (Wayne Cowan), Janet (William Montevecchi), and Patricia (William Furey); his sister Geraldine Kielley, sister-in-law Lucy Dalton; brothers-in law Ronald Whelan and Jack Wade; grandchildren Stefanie (Martin Sasinek-Roil), Andrew Roil, Jaclyn (Bill Morey), Valerie (Mike Jeffrey), Tom Young (Amber Tunstan), Adam Young, Catie Young, Suzanne (Gene Cole), Jennifer Furey (Mike Strickland), Rebecca Furey (Danny MacDonald), Nick Montevecchi (Katie Arnott), Gioia Montevecchi, and Marina Montevecchi; great-grandchildren Colyer Roil, Josef and Avalon Sasinek-Roil, Kathryn and Elizabeth Morey, Gwyndelyn and Aurora Young, and Declan Strickland; and a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Sacred Heart Church, North Harbour on Wednesday, December 3, 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Thursday December 4, 12:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, North Harbour, Friday, 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to North Harbour, SMB, Recreational Centre.
