WILLIAMS, Walter Douglas – April 11, 1918 - January 08, 2009. Passed peacefully away at Honeysuckle Estates in New Harbour on Thursday, January 8th, 2009, Walter D. Williams of Dildo, formerly of Isle Aux Valen, Placentia Bay, aged 90 years. Predeceased by his wife, Rose Williams. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories are his children: Walter (Valerie) Williams, Amy (Allan) Cumby and four loving grandchildren: Shannon and Ashley Williams, Ashley and Vanessa Cumby and one great-grandchild, Abigail Cumby. He is also lovingly remembered by his sister, Violet Lockyer and sister-in-law, Clara Lockyer, as well as a number of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Resting at Warren's Funeral Home in Dildo, Friday, January 9th, with visiting hours from 2 - 4:30 p.m. & from 7 - 9:30 p.m., Saturday, January 10th from 10 a.m. -12 noon and 2:30 - 9:30 p.m. and on Sunday, January 11th from 10 a.m. until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from All Saints' Anglican Church, Dildo on Sunday, January 11th at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at All Saints' Cemetery, Dildo.
