Noel Albert 'Seymour' "The Champ" Doucette

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Noel 'Seymour' Doucette, on Dec. 4, 2014 at home.
Seymour was the son of the late Noel Doucette and Georgina (Denny) Doucette.
He was an Olympian in weightlifting, representing both Canada and the USA in the world championship of weightlifting. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, golfing, and hockey for pastimes.
Seymour leaves behind to mourn, his mother, Georgina; wife, Elizabeth; daughters, Lynn (Jonathan) Francis, Maddie (Terrance) Bernard, Charlotte and Frenchy; sons, Daniel (Donna), Noel Jr. (Sarah), Joey (Jack) and Marshall; sisters, Bernice and Ruby; brothers, Michael (Karen), Vaughan (Shirley), Donald (Andrea), Daniel (Arlene), John (Carolyn). Seymour is also surviving are 13 grandchildren, and four godchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and also his beloved pets, Sweets and Popeye.
Seymour was predeceased by his father, Noel Doucette; daughter, Victoria in infancy; son, Robert; also a sister, Virginia.
Visitation will be held at the family residence on 302 Castle Bay Rd., Eskasoni on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 starting at 7 p.m. and continuing into Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, Dec. 11, 2014 , at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Eskasoni with Fr. Martin MacDougall officiating.
