It is with heartfelt sadness, that we the family announce the passing of Ray Wadden, on Dec. 4, 2014, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, with loving wife at his side.
Born in Glace Bay, Ray was the son of the late Carl and Mildred Wadden.
Ray was employed with the Glace Bay Bus Company, and later Cape Breton Transit. He also had a love for the great outdoors- enjoying gardening, fishing, hunting and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Surviving, is loving wife of 39 years Greta Wadden, sister Gloria (late Jerry Jensen), Ontario, brother Clyde (Hazel) Ont., sister-in-law Connie Ont., special girl Bernadette Currie, Melvin Boutilier who was like a son, and countless nieces and nephews who all held a special place in his heart.
Besides parents, Ray was predeceased by his brother Fred.
Visitation for Ray will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, from 6-9 p.m. at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay. Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at 11 a.m., in Patten Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.

At this time Greta would like to say a special thank you to the Byrne family, Marilyn and Andy Newell for all their love and support, and nephew Peter Wadden, whose summer visits brought Ray joy and happiness over the years.
