Sackville native and long-time Florida resident H. Daniel (Danny) Murray passed away on Monday following a lengthy battle with failing health at the age of 86.
Son of the late Cecil and Florence Murray he attended Sackville High School, graduating with the class of 1945 and had been deeply involved with the many school reunions since 1994, often making the trek from Florida to Sackville to attend the events.
Following high school graduation he was employed in management training with a national chain of stores and later opened his own business in Montague, P.E.I. It was during this time he met and married Joan Johnson.
In Florida he was employed as manager with a national chain of stores.
They had three sons – Paul of PEI and Robbie and James of Florida and he also leaves to mourn his former wife, sister Jeanne (MacKenzie) of Saint John and four grandchildren.
