REID, HORACE and MARIA - It is with great sadness and profound love that we announce the passing of Maria Katharina Reid, 83, and Horace Sharpe Reid, 74, of Burton, NB. Maria, born January 6, 1931, in Hanover, Germany, peacefully passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014. Horace, born June 6, 1940 in Wicklow, NB, joined his loving wife of 50 years on Tuesday, December 9, 2014. Horace and Maria are survived by one son, David Reid of Oromocto, NB; one daughter, Deborah (Reid) Smith and her husband Peter of Edmonton, AB; two grandchildren, Christine (Smith) Martinell and her husband Braden and Jesse Smith of Edmonton, AB; and one great-grandchild, Damon Martinell. Horace is also survived by his mother, Sydna Reid of Hartland, NB and his brothers, Owen (Carolyn), Wayne (Joanne) and Roy (Nancy) Reid, all of Hartland, NB.
Funeral services will be held at the Oromocto Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 2:00pm with interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be made at www.oromoctofh.com
