AMERO, ANNA M. - Anna M. Amero, 88, of Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, December 12, 2014. Born in Port Wade, NS, she was the daughter of the late Owen and Lina (Ellis) McGrath. Anna was a former receptionist and store clerk and a volunteer at Spencer Memorial Home. She was a member of Harrisville United Protestant Church and Past Worthy Matron of Zetland Chapter #26 O.E.S., Shediac Cape. Anna will be sadly missed by her children, Peter Amero (Marlene) and Michael Amero (Kathy), both of Moncton; grandchildren, Jason and Tina, both of Ontario; sisters, Shirley Sanford (late Jim) and Beatrice “Becky” Saulnier (Ernest Jr.), both of Annapolis Royal, NS; brother, Berna McGrath (Norma) of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Herbert “Herb” Amero (2009); daughter, “Baby” Amero; infant brother, Garnett; sister, Rheta Takacs (late Frank); brother, Dana McGrath (late Deila).
In keeping with Anna’s wishes, there will be no visitation hours. Zetland Chapter #26 O.E.S. Memorial Service at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 10:30 am followed immediately by the Funeral Service with Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
