It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Margaret Wright. Margaret passed away with family at her side on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in St. Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, SK at the age of 85 years. Margaret is lovingly survived by her three children, Colleen (Bill) Harron, Andrea (Philip) Simpson and John (Pam) Wright; 8 grandchildren Alysa and Wilson Harron; Trevor Simpson, Ashton (Liz Kronstal) Simpson, Cuinn (Sarah) Simpson and Cailin (Nikolas) Helm; Carmen (Chuck) Weinknecht and Jared Wright; 4 great-grandchildren Aislynn, Lorelei, Chloe Simpson and Keauna Weinknecht.; sisters Myrna and Evelyn; and many extended family members and many friends. Margaret was predeceased by her spouse Andrew, son Marshall David, parents Ellen (Dahl) and Lawrence Plewis, and her brothers Leon and Morris Plewis. Margaret was born in Pennant, SK. She married Andrew Wright in 1952 and spent many years on the family farm north of Swift Current. She then moved into the city where she spent her time working with the Allied Arts Council, Meals on Wheels, Beta Sigma Phi, sewing, gardening. Margaret was always happy to help and take part in the organization of any event such as fashion shows, community teas and festivities. Margaret had the joy of travelling to many places around the world. Margaret loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Even though Margaret faced many illnesses and obstacles throughout her life, she remained positive and enjoyed life to the fullest. She will be greatly missed. Thank you to Saskatoon St. Paul’s Hospital staff who provided exceptional care and compassion to Margaret and her family during her last days. A Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at River View Estates, 1101 – 2nd Avenue SE, Swift Current, SK. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Margaret's honour may be made to the ICU unit, St Paul’s Hospital, Saskatoon, SK.
