FONTAINE, ELLA - Ella Fontaine, 87, formerly of Archibald Street in Moncton, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Villa du Repos. Born on September 24, 1927 in Saint-Maurice, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Marguerite (LeBlanc) Cormier. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a cook in restaurants for 30 years. She is survived by 11 sisters and brothers: Lionel (Thérèse), Edouard (Rita), Normand (late Helen), Rose Poirier (Gérard), Rina Cormier, Delma Maillet, Edmée Cormier, Alberte Cormier, Viola Bastarache (Arcade), Lorraine Cormier and Ronalda Thibeau (Doug); as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, William Fontaine, and her common-law husband, Camille Gallant (2013).
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be celebrated at Frenette Funeral Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Thursday, December 19, 2014 at 11 am.
