We, the family, regret to announce the sudden passing of Ruby MacLennan Dec. 12, 2014 at QEII Halifax Infirmary Hospital, our sister, aunt, cousin and friend to all that knew her.
Her kindness and humour will never be forgotten.
Born in Baddeck, she was the daughter of the late James and Annie (MacAskill) MacLennan. She was a member of Greenwood United Church. Ruby is survived by sisters, Dollie Ryan, Mary Campbell, both of Baddeck and Joan Chapman, Oakville, Ont. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Ruby was predeceased by brothers, Donald MacLeod and Alexander MacLeod; sister, Rachael MacLeod.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation, a funeral will be held Saturday, Dec. 20, 2 p.m.at the Greenwood United Church with Rev. Alison Etter officiating. With burial at Riverside Cemetery, North River.
In lieu of flowers, donations maybe be made to Victoria County Memorial Hospital Charitable Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
