FITZGERALD, Clarence Louis – age 81, of Yarmouth, passed away on December 6, 2014. Born in Little River Harbour on July 28, 1933 he was a son of the late Ralph and Mary Cedulie (Harris) Fitzgerald. Clarence was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. He was a hard worker and was a fisherman and worm harvester for most of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved to hunt. In his spare time he enjoyed walking on any shores that had lobster traps, boats, or anything to do with the sea. He also loved to paint and loved to work on car engines or anything mechanical. Clarence was also known to play BINGO from time to time. He is survived by his loving wife Marion (Cain); daughters, Sandra (Robert) Cobbet; Susan MacLellan; son, Paul Fitzgerald; brothers, James (Marion), Arthur, Bernie (Myrna), Carl, Cecil, Dave (Vicky), Paul (Joan), Burton (Ida); sisters, Catherine (Carroll), Saulnier; Barb (Richard) Muise; Lillian (Richard) Harvey; grandchildren, Chelsea and Jalissa. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Delmar, Louis, Lloyd, Arthur, and Willard. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Wednesday, December 10, 2014 from 2-4 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home South Room and from 7-9 p.m. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service was held Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Deacon Stephen Bourque officiated. Interment followed in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery.
