Victor Gilmet
It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce the death of our wonderful brother Victor Gilmet. Victor was an intelligent man with a kind heart and a special kind of wit. He loved all sports: baseball, football, hockey, and especially golf. Nothing pleased Victor more than beating his brother Randy at a good game of crib. Victor especially loved children, many a summer afternoon he could be found tossing a football or baseball in the backyard with Alex.
He will be lovingly remembered always by his family and friends.
He is survived by his sisters, Valerie Matheson, Wanda Chisholm (Doug) , Cindi Barrett (Tony); brother, Randy; brother-in-law, Bill Wilson and many nieces and nephews.
Also left to mourn are his three lifelong friends whom he dearly loved, Paul Adams, Allistair Milne, Freddy Janes and his beloved dog, Earl.
He was predeceased by his father Wilfred, mother Josie and his sister Judy Wilson.
As per Victor's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A family memorial will be held at a later date.
We love you Vic. Go Hawks go.
