SAULNIER, ALDORIA JOSEPH - With heavy hearts, the family of Aldoria Joseph Saulnier, announce his peaceful passing on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Bobby’s Hospice with his loving family by his side. Born in Tracadie-Sheila, NB, he is the son of the late Dominique and Catherine (Savoie) Sonier and loving husband of 48 years to Linda (Doucette) Saulnier. Al was a self-employed, home building contractor by trade and loved to hunt, fish and re-build trucks in his spare time. He had a light hearted, love of life and a great sense of humour. Anyone who had known “Big Al” knew he was a storyteller and many were familiar with his jokes and stories. He was a good friend to many and a kind, caring husband, father, grandfather brother and Uncle. He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed. Along with his wife Linda, Al is survived by his sons Dean (Lisa) and Jason (Amanda); daughter Andrea (Gary Bedford); his brothers Jean Claude, Côme (Blanche) and Eddie; sisters Thèresa Godin (Ovila), Ella Robichaud (Jean Claude), Annette McLaughlin (Marc) and Almida Dion; grandchildren Jase, Marcus, Brayden, Tyler (Jen), Katie (Jason) and Kristen, as well as, many extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Al was predeceased by his brothers, Antoine, Côme, Donald, Norman, Phil, Roger, Ben and Don Jr. and sisters Viola and Leona.
Arrangements entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visiting Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2014 from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 11 am. Donations in Al’s memory made to Bobby’s Hospice or the National Service Dogs for Autism Program would be appreciated by the family.
