Heaven has received a new angel, passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family, Mary Cecilia Hann of Marystown, formerly of Merasheen Island, Placentia Bay, at the St. John’s Long-Term Care Facility in St. John’s, on Thursday, December 18th, 2014, at the age of 92. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are sons, Patrick (Anne Dalton) of St. John’s, Anthony of St. John’s, Raymond (Gail) of Prince Edward Island, John (Sandra) of Creston South and Fr. William Hann of Victoria, BC; Daughters, Loretta (Tony Reid) of Oshawa, ON, Sylvia (Eddy Hamilton) of Nova Scotia, Vivian (Carl Rose) of Creston South, Georgina (Tony Conte) of Amherstburg, ON, Jeannie (Tony Robertson) of Campbellford, ON and Mary (Don Moulton) of Garnish; sisters, Violet Pomroy of Dunville and Julia McIvor of Nova Scotia; 26 Grandchildren; 29 Great-grandchildren; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband, Patrick Hann; grandchildren, Vivian, Ryan & Thomas; parents, George & Cecily Wilson; infant children, Gerard Majella (1946) & Gerard Majella (1949); sisters, Caroline & Alice; brothers, Jim, Stanley, Austin, Billy, Edgar, Anthony & Donald..

The Mass of Christian Burial took place at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown, on Monday, December 22nd, at 11:00 a.m. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery in Marystown. In Mary’s memory donations may be made to Sacred Heart Parish, P.O. Box 368, Marystown, NL A0E 2M0, or flowers gratefully accepted.
