Dorothea Mae Cotton passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at the age of 95. Dearly loved wife of the late William (Irving) Cotton. Loved mother of Renee Cotton of Oshawa, Ont., Paul Cotton and his wife Barbara of Ashburn, Dale Cotton and his wife Anne of Bobcageon. Pre-deceased by her son John. Survived by her daughter-in-law Ann. Loved grandmother of Jennifer (Jeff), Rob (Nicole), Adam, Jessica (David), Shari, David (Dale). Great-grandmother of Cole, Ellie, Jack, Chelsea, Kate, Matthew, Brendon, Tyler and Amy. Survived by her sister Kathryn Wood of Vancouver. Pre-deceased by Sadie, Eleanor and Olivine. Fondly remembered her nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation at Barnes Memorial Funeral Home, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby, from 2-4 p.m. Friday, January 2. A service to celebrate a life well lived will be held in the Barnes Chapel Friday, Jan. 2, at 4 p.m. A celebration reception will follow.
