ALLAIN, MICHELLE - 1967 – 2015 - Moncton, NB – It is with profound sadness that Léo and Jackie (née Muncey) Allain of Moncton announce the passing of their eldest daughter Michelle Rose Allain. She died at the Moncton Hospital on January 1, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Michelle suffered over half of her life with Myotonic Dystrophy. Michelle will be sadly missed by her son, Nicholas Robert Cormier of Moncton; her brother, Marc Allain (Lori-Jo) of Riverview; her sister Christine van de Lustgraaf ( Pieter) of Abu Dhabi, UAE; her grand-father; Albert Muncey of Charlettown PEI; her nieces and nephews, Olivia, Alexis, Jordan and Matthew; also by many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Frank and Maria Allain; her maternal grandmother Roberta Muncey.
Respecting Michelle’s wishes there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 11 am. Reception will be held at the church after the service. Father Charles Broadrick officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Muscular Dystrophy Association or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
