MURRAY, MAY - 1925 – 2015 - May Murray of Riverview passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 3, 2015, following a lengthy battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome at the age of 89. Born in Yorkshire England, she was the daughter of the late John and Ivy (James) Golding. Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1946, she was a veteran of WWII, having served for three years with The Royal Observer Corp. in York, England. She is survived by her daughter, Pat Lewis (Ken) of Riverview, grandchildren; Beth, Kent, Scott and Leanne, her sister, Iris Horsman of Salisbury and her twin sister, Eileen Murray (Raysh) of Fredericton and formerly of Doaktown, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Brian Murray and a son, John.
In respecting May’s wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral service, the interment will take place at a later date in the Doaktown Cemetery. Donations to St. Thomas United Church, Doaktown or the Memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
