Edwin Norman Campbell

Edwin Noman Campbell, 85, passed away Jan. 2, 2015, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
He was the son of the late Thomas and Sadie (MacDonald) Campbell.
Edwin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a great 'storyteller'. He was well known for his knowledge of history and families in Baddeck and surrounding areas.
In his earlier years he worked in sawmills and the Heavy Water Plant in Lingan. He was a sheet metal worker and a furnace repairman by trade.
Edwin is survived by sons, Thomas Peck and Edwin C. Campbell (Pauline); daughters, Veronica Jeddore (Howard), Elizabeth Campbell (Doug); sister-in-law Germaine Campbell; brother in-law Lloyd MacRitchie; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Edwin was predeceased by son Norman Campbell, brothers, Garfield and Lamont Campbell, sister, Elsie MacRitchie, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The Family wishes to extend deep appreciation to the staff of Victoria County Memorial and Cape Breton Regional Hospitals for the great compassion they showed to our father. Cremation has taken place, at his request, there will be no visitation or funeral. Arrangements under the care and direction of MacAskill Funeral Home, Baddeck, N.S.
