BROWN – Arletta Camilla (Woodrow) of Kyle, SK was born on March 30, 1944 and she passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at the Kyle Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer. Arletta attended Perrone School near Kyle, Ashley Park School and Beatty Collegiate both Swift Current. She continued her education at Marvel Beauty School in Regina and became a journeyman hairdresser. She worked in various places including Swift Current, Calgary and Kyle. Arletta was married twice in her life. Arletta loved to travel all over and had been from Alaska to Mexico, Hawaii and traveled west to BC and out east to Newfoundland. She also babysat Reg and Kathy Rudes children and cherished the time she spent with them. Arletta moved to Newfoundland, living and working there for 20 years before coming back to Kyle to look after her mom until she passed away in 2011. Arletta is survived by her sister Emily Bergquist and her family, Randy & Nicole Hallemann (Max & Erika), Rebecca & Rodney Choma (Breanna & Haydan) and David Bergquist (Kody Bergquist & Kali (Daxton), Samantha & Tom Chapin(Addyson & Mason) and Wyatt Bergquist); her brother Rodney & Linda Woodrow and their family (James & Jolie Woodrow (Jada, Emersyn,& Kade); Lisa O’Connor (Luke, Shanelle,& Mark) Miranda James & Courtney)); and her sister Kandace & Randy Valentine and their family (Karissa, Patricia & Ken Powell, Nicole & Darren James (Claire)). Her nephews Reg & Kathy Rude (Daryl, Peggy, Andrew, Tanya and their families), Gordon Rude, Keith Rude & family, Mark Brown & family, and Darren Brown & family. Arletta was predeceased by her parents, Anna & James Woodrow; brother-in-law, Gary Bergquist and niece Arlee Woodrow. A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Clearwater Lutheran Church, Kyle, SK with Pastor Linda Hall officiating. The organist was Leslie Dyrland and the honorary pallbearers were all those that celebrated her life. The interment will take place at a later date at the Clearwater Cemetery.
