George Edward Brown
(Brownie) Passed away after a lengthy illness at the Health Sciences Centre, George Edward Brown (Brownie). Left to mourn by his loving wife Jean (Milly), daughter Judy (Neil), sons Edward, Randy, (Brenda) and Dan (Oldtimer), grandchildren Cyndi ("Him's a good poppy"), Colin, Matthew, Cheryl and Angela; sisters Rita and Barbara, brother Les, also many other nieces, nephews, family and friends. George was a Korean War Veteran (2nd Battalion Blackwatch), a trucker most of his life, known to many as Brownie and operated "Milly's Sewing Machine Repair and Service," C.B.S. Over the last two years he resided at St. Patrick's Mercy Home, special appreciation to Madline, Jean, Krista and all the third floor staff. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, March 24, 2008 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and Tuesday, March 25, 2008 from 12 noon - 2 p.m. Funeral service to take place from Barrett's Chapel.
