STEEVES, RAYMOND - Raymond Harold Steeves of Fredericton, passed away at the Chalmer’s Regional Hospital on December 25th, 2014 at 78. He was born January 17th, 1936 in Steeves Mountain, son of the late Zenas and Dollie (Hicks) Steeves. He previously worked for both Irving Mill and the Department of Transport. Raymond is survived by his son, Peter Steeves of Fredericton; sisters, Nita Steeves and borther Reilly (Roberta) both of Steeves Mountain, sister Joyce (Steadman) Steeves and brothers Reid (Ruth) and Allen all of Moncton, sister Stella (Arthur) Quartermain of Fredericton; sister Eva (Ernie) Garnier of Grand Lake; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife, Jeaninne Ruth (Chase) Steeves in 2011.
A service of celebration was held at the Chipman Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 31st, 2014. It was officiated by Pastor Pete Thomas with special music by David McNeill. Eulogy was read by Norm McDonald. Pallbearers were nephews Eric Garnier and Greg Steeves, special friends David McNeill, Timmy Chase, Lenny Price and Norm McDonald. Guests attended from Petitcodiac, Portage Vale, Fredericton and Moncton. Interment will follow at a later date. Our family would like to thank all those who sent sympathy cards, memorials and called to offer their condolences. Also thanks t o those who visited and attende the funeral service.
