FUREY, Margaret (nee McCormack)(November 6, 1918 - January 11, 2009)- Passed peacefully on Sunday, January 11, 2009, at Chancellor Park Nursing Home, St. John’s, Margaret Furey of St. Joseph’s, S.M.B., aged 90 years. She was predeceased by her husband George in 1996. Leaving to mourn her loving family, six daughters: Patsy Yetman (Gordon), Marion Yetman (Ken), Helen Colbert (Fred), Marie Cooke (Bren), Elsie Thistle (Bill), St. John’s; Peggy Allan (Bill), Corner Brook; and four sons: Bill (Cindy), Grand Falls-Windsor; George (Janet), St. John’s; Pat (Mary), Vancouver, B.C.; and Michael (Trina), Victoria, B.C.; thirty-four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Patricia Davis (Gerald), St. John’s, Helen Nolan, Toronto; sister-in-law Mabel Furey, Mt. Carmel; as well as other relatives and friends. Resting at Enright Memorial Chapel, St. Joseph’s, on Tuesday, January 13, 2009, from 10 a.m to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church.
