McCARTHY, ALICE - At Hotel-Dieu of Saint Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, January 7, 2015, Mrs. Alice McCarthy of Grand Falls Portage passed away at the age of 64 years. She was the wife of Michael McCarthy. Born at Edmundston in 1950, she was a daughter of Alda (Godin) and the late Jean-Paul Belzile. Alice was a clerk at the Perth-Andover and Grand Falls RCMP detachments for many years. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Jason (Melissa) of Fredericton and Jonathan (Lynn Ouellette) of Grand Falls, four grandchildren, Garnet, Margaret, Dahlia and Indigo, her mother, Mrs. Alda Belzile of Foyer St-Joseph of Saint-Basile, one brother, Gilles Belzile (Fernande) of St-Joseph-de-Madawaska, four sisters, Nicole McLaughlin (Danny) of Grand Falls, Lise Cyr (Roger) of Fredericton, Monique Lee (Jean) of Cap Pelé and Anne Belzile (Normand) of Drummond, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Jean-Paul Belzile in 2012.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, January 10th at 2 p.m. from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Grand Falls (Portage) with Father Gilbert Doddatto officiating.
