Passed peacefully away on January 8th, 2015 at the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre in Halifax; in the presence of his loving family, Thomas Joseph Murphy of Cupids, age 84 years. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret Murphy, parents in-law Charles and Enid Ford. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his wife of 50 years Ada, daughters Michelle (Devin), Annette (John), and Dena, son Neil; 6 grandchildren, Eryn, Megan, Rebecca, Samantha, Jack, and Grayson; Sister Regina (Joe), sisters in-law Iris, Marie (Ray), Gordon and Daphne (deceased) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Resting at Broughtons Funeral Home, Brigus, with visitations on Tuesday January 13th, 10am to 9pm. Funeral service to take place Wednesday January 14th at 1030am at St. Patricks Parish in Brigus. Donations may be made in his memory to The Canadian Red Cross Society or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation.
