Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Saturday, March 22, 2008. Rita Gladney (nee Hynes) aged 80 of Portugal Cove. She was predeceased by her husband Francis; sons Martin and Michael; parents Michael and Catherine Hynes; granddaughter Danila Rosa-Bian; sons-in-law: Daniel Kennedy, Lorenzo Rosa-Bian and Thomas O'Leary; sisters Margaret Thorne, Anne Kardynal and brother Dennis Hynes. Leaving to mourn her son Philip (Leslie); daughters: Maureen Rose (John), Leona (Paul), Rita O'Leary (Bill), Marie Gladney (Tom), Carolann Kennedy, Catherine Gladney (Wilson), Angela Butler (Ron), Elizabeth Eddy (Daryl). Nineteen grandchildren, one special granddaughter Rita Neary (Corey); nine great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, TORBAY. Visitation on Sunday from 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Monday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. from Holy Rosary Church, Portugal Cove.
