Gordon ‘Buddy’ Nugent

We regret to announce the passing of Buddy Nugent on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, at the Burloak Home in Burlington, Ont.
Born in Florence, he was the son of the late Gordon and Margaret (Day) Nugent.
He joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1950, and served in the Korean War. After leaving the Forces, he went to Ontario and worked with Domtar until his retirement.
He is survived by his four sons, two daughters, 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn are his sisters, Lorraine MacLean, Margaret Bugden (Ricky), Theresa Nugent (Iris) and brother Billy (Joan).
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Alice (Matthews) on Aug. 9, 2014 and his grandson, Christopher.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday in Ontario.
