It is with great sadness, that we say goodbye to our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Mary Mullins, who passed away peacefully in the arms of her loving family and the Lord.
Mary was born in Glace Bay, the eldest daughter of the late Patrick and Viola (Robinson) McIntyre.
Mary never lost her love of life, family and friends. She enjoyed life to its fullest everyday and was always a "lady". She also enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, quilting and time spent with family and friends.
Mary was a proud member of Holy Cross Parish and enjoyed helping out in anyway she could.
Mary is survived by her three children, Marguerite (Kevin) Wadman, Cathie (Henry) Lloyd and Cecil (Gina) Mullins, brothers, Patrick (Betty), Thomas (Mary), Peyton (June), Cecil (Denise) and Jimmy, sisters, Voila Sturgess, Monica (Leif) Erickson, Elizabeth (Rick) Silvestri and Janice (Ralph) Fehr. Also surviving are grandchildren, Cheryl (Kenny) McLean and Curtis (Joanne) Lloyd, Krystle Wadman and Nicole (Dave) Dalton, great-grandchildren, Mia, Cody, Ben, Ellie, Michael and Jonathan.
Mary was recently predeceased by her loving husband, Cecil, whom she missed dearly everyday, son, Joseph, granddaughter, Mary Ann Wadman and her sister, Maurina Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, from 2-6 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. The funeral mass, officiated by Rev. Norman MacPhee is Saturday, 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church followed by a reception in the church hall. Interment to take place in the parish cemetery.
