STONE, ELNA - At the Grand Falls General Hospital, January 17, 2015, Mrs. Elna Marie Stone of New Denmark passed away at the age of 83 years. She was the wife of the late Chelmer Stone. Born at New Denmark in 1931, she was a daughter of the late Carroll and Dorrice (Laursen) Jensen. She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Stone of Fredericton, two sons, Lee Stone and Martin Stone of New Denmark, seven grandchildren, Rhonda, Ann, Pamela, Bradley, Jason, Josh and Blair, one great grandchild, one brother, John Jensen (Marge) of New Denmark, four sisters, Gene Parsons (Carl) of Plaster Rock, Doreen White (Robert) of Scarborough, Ontario, Vera (Roy McLaughlin) of New Denmark and Betty Payne (Robert) of New Denmark, sister-in-law, Linda Jensen (late Stanley) of New Denmark, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald Roy Stone, sister, Marion Sorensen and brother, Stanley Jensen.
Resting at Bethany Lutheran Church, New Denmark with visiting hours on Tuesday, January 20th from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Her funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. from the church with Pastor Ralph Weigold officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are by O'Regan's Funeral Home, Grand Falls. www.oregans.ca
