Passed peacefully away on Saturday, January 17, 2015, at St Patrick's Mercy Home in the presence of her loving family, Nellie Peddle aged 84 years. Nellie graduated from St. Clare's Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in 1950, where she worked until her retirement in 1989. Nellie's work as an RN was extremely meaningful to her. Her kindness and compassion was eminent throughout her entire life. Predeceased by her parents, James and Bridget Sparrow; her brother, Robert Sparrow; and her daughter, Lauren. Leaving to mourn, her husband, James; daughters: Brenda (Rich), Janet (Paul), Dianne, Moya (Rick), Barbara, Norma (Brian); sons: Bruce (Jackie), Mark (Anna), Blair (Joanna). Also survived by her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends. The family would like to thank Dr.O'Shea, nurses and staff at St. Patrick's Mercy Home for their excellent care, kindness, compassion, and gift of hope throughout her illness. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, January 19 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Teresa's Parish, Mundy Pond Road on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at 9:30am, with interment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery.
