Mrs. Marlene Evelyn Foster of Sask Landing Provincial Park. Marlene passed away at St. Pauls Hospital in Saskatoon, SK on January 12, 2015, age 69 years. The Funeral Service took place at Kyle Elks Community Hall, Friday January 16, 2015 at 2:00 P.M., with Reverend Jim McNaughton officiating. The Interment service was held at the White Bear Cemetery, White Bear, SK. A reception followed at the Kyle Elks Community Hall. Marlene is survived by husband Barry of 48 years; daughter Tanya (Russell); son Wade Foster; grandchildren: Luke and Cole; brother Leonard (Yvonne) Soden, plus several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents: Emerson & Evelyn Soden. Marlene was born Tuberose, Sask June 19, 1945. She atttended school at Twilight Country School, White Bear School and completed grade twelve in Kyle. She obtained a certified nursing assistant and a operation room technician certificate at The Kelsy Institute. Marlene was employed as a CNA in Swift Current and then an operating room technician at City Hospital in Saskatoon until 1970. She was a Member of The Kyle Art Guild and also a member of Sandy Ridge Cottage's Social Committee. Marlene loved her family, gardening , water color art & crafts. She cared for all those around her, giving of herself and her time to ease things for others. She was a great wife, mother, daughter and friend. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Kyle Health Centre would be graciously accepted. Warren's Funeral Home, Swift Current, SK. were entrusted with the arrangements.
