Passed away peacefully on Monday, December 15, 2008, at the age of 89. Beloved mother of Judy Hildebrandt, adoring grandmother of Joanne Smith (Lynn) and lovingly remembered by her great-granddaughters, Julia and Pamela. Sister of Irene Connolly (Joe) and Grace Bruce (Harvey). Sister-in-law of Sheila Newell. Predeceased by her son, Douglas Newell; her brothers, Gavin, Jim and Ian; and her sister, Helen Hughes. Emma will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. As per Emma's wishes, cremation has taken place with no service. In memory of Emma donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
