VANWART, WALTER BRUCE - It is with sadness, the family of Walter Bruce VanWart, age 81, announces his death, which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Walter was born on May 4, 1933 in Kars, NB, a son of the late Norman and Georgie (Urquhart) VanWart. Walter is survived by his sons, Bruce VanWart and his wife Jacquelyn of Grande Cache, AB and Frank Campbell of Halifax, NS; grandchildren: Luc Sipkema and his wife Jenna, Dylan VanWart and Dawson VanWart; great-granddaughter Lana; brother Roy VanWart (Carol); and sister Kaye Marr. Besides his parents, Walter was predeceased by his brother Dalton VanWart and sister Ethel Simmons.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, with visitation on Sunday, January 25, 2015 from 4 to 7 PM. The funeral service, conducted by Rev. Terry Kennedy, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 AM, on Monday, January 26, 2015. Interment will take place in Tennant’s Cove Cemetery in the spring.
