ELLIS, Tallis Wilfred Jr. – age 81, of Cedar Lake, Yarmouth Co., passed away at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on January 21, 2015. Born in Cedar Lake on May 13, 1933 he was a son of the late Tallis Wilfred Ellis Sr. and Bertha Wetmore Crosby. Tallis was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved his family dearly. He was very active in many trades and belonged to the Odd fellows in Port Maitland. He is survived by his loving wife Venora Florence (Wyman) Ellis; son, Vaughn Lee (Debbie) Ellis, Elliot Lake, ON; daughter, Heather Lynn (Barry) Cumming, Port Elgin, ON; brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Ellis, Cedar Lake; Clifford (Colleen) Ellis, Guelph, ON; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There was no visitation by family request. A memorial service was held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 2 p.m. from Cedar Lake Baptist Church, Rev. Scott MacDonald officiated. Family flowers only please.
