Peacefully at Stewart Memorial Hospital, Tyne Valley, on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, of John Harold “Jack” Milligan of Tyne Valley formerly of Poplar Grove aged 89, beloved husband of Vivian (nee Arsenault). Born in Poplar Grove on May 30, 1919, son of the late Elizabeth Milligan. Dear father of Wayne (Jean), Poplar Grove. Brother of June Hyson, Windsor, Conn; Norma (James) Griswold, New Jersey; Edward Thompson, Hartford, Conn. Predeceased by brothers Hardy and Walter. Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Friday 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday until 10 a.m. then to St. Brigid’s Church, Foxley River, Lot 11 for Funeral Mass at 10:30 am. Interment to take place in Parish Cemetery in the spring. Memorials to the Stewart Memorial Hospital Foundation or St. Brigid’s Cemetery would be appreciated.
