It is with heavy hearts her family says so long to a wonderful and loving gentle sister after a long courageous battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years Joe H. Arnold, her daughter Lori Ann (Michael) Balsamo, her son Steven Lee (Catherine) Arnold and the love of her life her grandchildren Vincent, Matthew, Daniel, Dominic, Shelby Lynn, Elliana and Mei. Her siblings Theresa Lee, Geraldine (David) Field, Peter (Mary) Lee, Marie (Karl) Wyatt, Leonard Lee, Patrick (Florence) Lee, Madonna (Carl) Simmons, Romeo Lee, Bernadette (Robert) Hughes, Suzanne (William) Culhane, John (Elizabeth) Lee, Veronica (Fred) Price, Imelda (Alexander) Lee, Gerard (Loretta) Lee and many nieces, nephews & friends. Betty was predeceased by her parents Thomas Lee (Her birth mother Theresa Atkins Lee) and the mom that raised her Gertrude Lee. Her brothers Kevin, Dermot, Ronald & Thomas. Her sisters Elaine & Deborah, in-laws, nieces and nephews. Betty had a prayer service at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, Ill. A mass of Christian burial will take place at a later date in Downers Grove, IL where she will be laid to rest. Donations can be made to the Cancer Society. We love and miss her dearly as she flies home on an angel’s wings.
