Passed peacefully away at the Pentecostal Seniors Complex, Bay Roberts on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, Lucy Ann Melvin, in her 95th year, originally from Bauline. Predeceased by her husband Richard and her infant son Richard Clement, her brothers Michael, John, Tom, Leonard, and her sisters Ann and Hannah. Leaving to mourn her son Gerard, his wife Genevieve and grandchildren Scott (Jacinta), Richard and her great-grandson Jaden. Her brother James Battcock, her sisters, Fidelis Walsh and Nellie O'Brien, her sisters-in-law Helen Battcock and Millie Battcock, special life-long friend and caregiver Elizabeth Carew, and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at the Pentecostal Seniors Complex for their special attention and care shown to Lucy during her stay. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home in Bay Bulls with visitation on Wednesday February 4 from 2 pm - 9 pm and on Thursday February 5 from 11 am - 1 pm. Mass of the Christian Burial to take place at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Church, St. Michaels at 2 pm on Thursday, February 5, with Internment to follow at St. Michaels Roman Catholic Cementary. Flowers graciously accepted or a donation may be made in her memory to a charity of one's choice.
