Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 of Sandra Blanchard (nee Gormley) of Charlottetown, age 65 years.
Beloved wife of Lloyd and dear mother of Carrie (Ibriham), Lloyd Jr. (Buffy) and Cheryl (Danny) Thompson. Loving Nanny to Kelsie, Koady, Hilary, Hannah, Matthew and Abigail. Sister of Lornie Gormley, Mary Gormley, Johnny (Brenda) Gormley, Patsy (Gary) Campbell, Melvin (Jennifer) Gormley, Reggie (Cecelia) Gormley, Joe (Marion) Gormley, Paul (Tracey) Gormley and Nancy Hennessey (Guy). Sister-in-law of Donna (Jim) MacIntyre and Ray (deceased) (Carol) Blanchard. Sandra will also be missed by her friend, Carolyn (Soup), and her canine companion, Ralph.
She was predeceased by her parents, Maurice and Edna Gormley; her sister, Doris; and aunt and uncle, Annie and Richard McGee.
Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home until Saturday morning, then transferred to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.
