JONES, RUTH C.
The death of Ruth C. Jones, wife of the late Donald M. Jones occurred at her residence of Saint John & St. Stephen Nursing Home on Sunday, February 1, 2015.
Ruth was born in Saint John, on February 15, 1922 to the late Herbert L. and Gertrude (Wadman) MacFarlane. She loved to entertain for her family, especially the preparation. Ruth loved Vairs Cove overlooking the St. John river and enjoyed all the activity taking place on the water from her deck. Her family was the centre of her life.
Ruth was predeceased by three brothers Lester, Murray and George, and two sisters Marion MacFarlane and Margaret Noble.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy L. (Ian) Webster and her son Donald H. (Carol) Jones, five grandchildren Lori (Chris) Nason, Brett (Beth) Jones, Christie (George) Georgoudis, Jill (Donnie) Campbell, and Allyson (Justin) Mc Cann, seven great-grandchildren Emilie, Nicole, Alexa, Kathryn, Cara, Tessa, Graysan, Logan, Peytan, and several nieces and nephews.
A private family service is planned.
The family wishes to thank the staff and volunteers of St. John & St. Stephen Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Ruth.
