It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Martha at the wonderful age of 93 on Feb. 3, 2015.
Born in McAdams Lake, N.S. to the late Daniel and Christina (MacMullen) MacIsaac. Martha is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Left to celebrate Martha’s life and cherish her memory are her children, Christina (Wally Murphy), Alanna MacDonald, Anne (Richard Packard), Carol (Terry Melanson) and Michael MacDonald all of MA.
Martha was a loving wife, an understanding mother who always put others before herself and a friend to everyone.
Martha will be remembered as a loving grandmother by grandchildren, Devin, Chrissy, Brenda, Ryan, Stephen, Jimmy, Travis and Shawna. Great-grandmother to Brianna, Joshua, Riley, Shanna and Audrina.
Martha was predeceased by husband, Michael 'Big Mike'; son, Daniel and a daughter in infancy. Sister of the late Mary, Agnes, Anne, Mary Catherine, John, Patrick, Duncan and Joe.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m.-9 p.m. on Sunday, April 19th at the T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Funeral serives will be held on Monday, April 20th at 2:30 p.m. in St. Mary’s Church, East Bay, Nova Scotia with Fr. Abbass officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Donations may be made in Martha’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Cota Funeral Home, North Reading MA and T.W. Curry Funeral Home Sydney.
