
Gary Harris
HARRIS, GARY ANDREW
1941 – 2015
Gary Harris of Riverview passed away at his residence on Thursday, February 5, 2015. Born in Edmunston, he was the son of the late James and Bessie (Dunphy) Harris.
Gary was a long-time member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church and was involved as a former warden and a participant of the men’s club. He was a loyal sports fan, faithfully cheering on The Moncton Wilcats and The Toronto Maple Leafs. Gary was formerly employed with Hostess Frito-Lay, Sobey’s in his earlier years and remained actively involved with Habitat for Humanity.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Annette (Baraly); daughter, Kelly (John) McCafferty and god-son, Alex McGrath both of Riverview; sisters, Bonnie McGrath of Riverview, Gail Foster of Darlings Island, Shirley Thompson of Kansas; brother Ronnie of Moncton; grandchildren, Krystle McCafferty (Mark MacDonald), Taya (Ryan Hollingum); great-grandson, Kayden; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Gary was predeceased by a brother, Richard.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends and Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) on Sunday from 1:30 to 4:00pm. A service celebrating Gary’s life will take place from St. John the Baptist Anglican Church (28 Woolridge Ave., Riverview) on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11:00am with the Venerable Brent Ham officiating. Donations made in Gary’s memory to St. John the Baptist Anglican Church or Habitat for Humanity would be greatly appreciated by the family.
