Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Agnes Pratt Home on Feb 8, 2015. John C Mitchell - age 76 years. Predeceased by his wife Betty, parents Fanny & Roland Mitchell and brothers Bill and Fred. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his 4 daughters; Debbie (Gilbert), Karen (Glenn), Jackie (Calvin), and Kim (Rob). As well as his nine treasured grandchildren; Teri-Lynn (Zack), Ashley, Stephanie, Christopher, Samantha (Brandon), Bradley, Brandon, Vincent, and Dorothy Maria as well as 2 great grandchildren - Jasmine and Matthew. Also his sisters Ethel Earle (Alex) and Esther Garland (Robert) and brothers Sam, Les (Barb) and Nathan, sister-in-law Hazel Saint (Max) and brother-in-laws Fred Somerton (Sandra) and Hubert Brown. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Agnes Pratt home for their care. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, Freshwater Road on Tuesday, Feb 10 and Wednesday, Feb 11 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00pm. Funeral service from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove on Thursday, Feb 12 at 11:00am. Inurnment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Bauline Line. At his request in lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the St. Lawrence Anglican Church.
