Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Saturday, February 7, 2015, of George Kays, of Charlottetown, age 84 years.
Beloved husband of Georgette (nee Dow). Loving father of Albert (Heidi), Anne (John) Savidant, Elizabeth (Ira) Birt, Susan (predeceased) and Francis (Kathy) Kays. Jiddy (grandfather) to Leah, Johnny, Haley, Brodie, Chas, Abby, Jessie, Chris, Alecia and Derek. Jiddo (great-grandfather) of Judah. Brother of Gladys Dirani and Louis (Ginny) Kays. Brother-in-law of Mary, Heather and Greta Kays.
Predeceased by his parents, Elias and Nida Kays; brothers, James (Ivy), Paul, Gabriel (Violet), Manny and Peter Kays; and brother-in-law, Abe Dirani.
Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Thursday from St. Peter’s Cathedral at 10 a.m. Interment later in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery.
