STEEVES, VIOLET VERBENA (DEE)
1927 - 2015
Plaster Rock—Violet Verbena (Dee) Steeves, wife of Joseph H. Steeves, passed away at the Hotel Dieu Hospital, Perth-Andover, N.B., on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at the age of 87.
Born in Argosy, N.B., on August 6, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Roy N. and Sadie (Moran) Dee. She was a member of the Family Worship Center in Plaster Rock, N.B.
She is survived by her husband, two sons Rev. Dwayne Steeves (Carol) of Corner Brook, Nfld., and Daniel Steeves (Debbie) of Ottawa, Ont.; three sisters Audrey Hammond of Perth-Andover, N.B., Lois White (Joseph) of Virginia and Whilimena McNally (Leo) of Moncton; one brother Walter Dee Jr. (Alice) of Limestone Siding, N.B.; six grandchildren Naomi Stewart (Scott), Natasha Prados (Keelan), Nathaniel Steeves (Veronica), Nicole Ramesar (Shawn), Brandon Steeves and Ashley Steeves; eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, son Michael Steeves, sisters Mary Pelkey, Amy Watson, Pauline Kinney, Donna Cyr and Betty Caldwell, brothers Burton, Herman, Walter, Nicholas and Rev. Alvin Dee.
Visitation will be held from Family Worship Center, Plaster Rock, N.B., on Saturday, February 14, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Family Worship Center, on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at 11 am, with Rev. D.R. McKillop officiating. Interment will be in the Linton Corner Cemetery, later in the spring.
